The Fountain

Sits level,
Fills silently,
Overflows,
Makes music.

Often as we prepare for prayer, we still ourselves to listen to the still small voice of God. As our spiritual lives deepen, we become ever more focused on him and a depth of calm begins to seep into our being.

After years of closeness with Jesus, we find ourselves more and more able to “sit level.” As we do, he silently fills us, perhaps even without our awareness. We become filled to overflowing and his grace begins to spill over in our lives, splashing on those we meet. A sweet music fills our interactions – the sound of water falling as it is caught up to be used over and over again.

What a wonderful picture. Can you relate?
